By using Flop Fantasy ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. What this is
Flop Fantasy is a free, satirical fantasy football game tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Points are scored in the inverse of standard fantasy: own goals, red cards, and missed penalties earn the most. The game is run by an independent developer for entertainment. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by FIFA, any national team, any player, or any sponsor.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) and able to enter a binding contract under the laws of your country. We may suspend or remove any account that violates these terms.
3. Your account
You're responsible for your account, your handle, your team name, and any action taken with your sign-in. Don't share your sign-in link. Don't impersonate another person, club, or organisation. Don't pick a team name or handle that is obscene, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights — we may rename or remove such accounts without notice.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or load-test the app beyond normal use.
- Submit malicious data, attempt to break authentication, or interfere with other users' game state.
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to play (one human, one account).
- Resell access, embed the app in another product, or use the app's data for commercial purposes without written permission.
5. Game rules and scoring
The full rule set lives on the in-app Rules page. We may adjust scoring values, transfer limits, chip behaviour, or other rules between matchdays if a clarification is needed — we'll never change a rule retroactively to alter a finished matchday's score.
6. No real-money play, no prizes guaranteed
Flop Fantasy is not gambling. There is no entry fee. Any prize mentioned in the Prizes screen is a goodwill gesture from the operator and is provided "as is" — we reserve the right to change or withdraw any prize at any time, for any reason, and you have no legal entitlement to it.
7. Intellectual property
The app code, design, copy, scoring logic, and the "Flop Fantasy" name and logo are owned by the operator. Team names, national flags, and player names belong to their respective owners — we use them under fair-use / nominative-use principles for editorial identification only. If you are a rights-holder and believe we are using your IP improperly, email legal@flopfantasy.com and we will respond within seven days.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. The operator's total liability to you for any claim is capped at £100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
9. Termination
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete my account). We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with notice where reasonable. Termination doesn't end any obligation that, by its nature, continues past the end of the agreement.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll notify you by email or in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer in another country whose mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to sue in your local courts.
